Take A Night Out, Ladies, With Dearborn Animal Shelter Event

Ladies Night Out takes place March 22 in Dearborn Heights.

Celebrate women and help the Dearborn Animal Shelter at the local nonprofit's Ladies Night Out event.

The event—set for March 22—takes place from 6-10 p.m. at the Warren Valley Golf and Banquet Center, located at 26116 W. Warren Road in Dearborn Heights. The evening will include food, mini-spa services, handwriting analysis, a raffle and a silent auction.

New this year to Ladies Night Out is author, actress, politician, singer and comedian Kathy Crawford, who will give her humorous presentation, Up, Up and Away, with suggestions that will lift your life into taking flight! Irene’s Institute of Myomassology team of experts is also joining the evening, offering mini massages for a low-cost donation that benefits the animals.

A rare auction item up for bid includes a ride on a Yankee Lady B-17 Bomber, taking part in a historic flight, donated by the Yankee Air Museum.

This year’s theme has a fanciful angle, honoring women in flight.

“This is a wonderful evening for women to share with moms, sisters, daughters or friends," said Elaine Greene, executive director of Friends For the Dearborn Animal Shelter. "It’s a little sassy, a little heartfelt and filled with laughter and it helps the animals back at the shelter, too.”

Tickets for this adults-only event are $40 in advance, or $45 at the door. Price includes entertainment, prizes, fabulous food, soft drinks and more. Pre-event tickets online at www.dearbornanimals.org/events/ladies-night-out, or in person at the shelter.
