TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants and Applebee's Donate More than $189,000 to Local Organizations Statewide
134 events hosted by TSFR Applebee's in first six months positively impact thousands of residents
TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants (TSFR), a Michigan-based family-owned restaurant group with an expansive portfolio of casual, quick service and family dining restaurants throughout the state, announced today that its 66 Applebee’s restaurants contributed a combined $189,059 in donations to local organizations and nonprofits throughout the state of Michigan as part of its ongoing community programs outreach campaign.
Throughout the first six months of the year, TSFR and its locally owned and operated Applebee’s restaurants hosted a total of 134 community fundraisers benefiting local schools and education foundations, Make a Wish ® Michigan and Habitat for Humanity among others. Through several “Dine to Donate” and “Flapjack Fundraiser” events, TSFR’s Applebee’s contributed a percentage of guests’ food sales to its community partners, raising $87,494 to help continue providing valuable services to local residents in need.
In addition, TSFR has provided $57,645 in free kids meals to 10,500 kids through its “Bookworm Reading Club,” which promotes increased literacy at a young age. The company also has an “A is for Applebee’s” program, which has resulted in an additional $43,920 in free kids meals being distributed to 8,000 students that have exemplified great behavior, attendance and grades in the classroom.
