TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants and Applebee's to Host Food Drive Benefiting Gleaners Community Food Bank
"Applebee's Goes All in to End Hunger" event slated for Sept. 18

Livonia, Mich.-based TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants (TSFR), a family-owned restaurant group with an expansive portfolio of casual, quick service and family dining restaurants throughout the state, announced today that it has partnered with Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan to host the “Applebee’s Goes All in to End Hunger” food drive at its Southfield Applebee’s restaurant on Sunday, Sept. 18. TSFR Director of Marketing Barb Pasciak made the announcement.
From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Gleaners and its team of volunteers will be stationed outside the Southfield Applebee’s, located at 29177 Southfield Road, collecting non-perishable food and monetary donations to benefit the nonprofit organization. In addition to the on-site food drive, TSFR’s Applebee’s restaurants in Livonia (13301 Middlebelt Road), Woodhaven (23200 Allen Road) and Dearborn Heights (26582 Ford Road) will also have special Gleaners donation bins set up inside their restaurants for guests to contribute to the cause. As a token of appreciation for teaming up with Applebee’s to fight hunger in Southeast Michigan, guests who donate at least three food items to the cause or make a $5 cash donation to Gleaners will receive a $5 bounce back coupon from Applebee’s to use on their next visit.
“TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants is proud to partner with Gleaners Community Food Bank for our ‘Applebee’s Goes All in to End Hunger’ campaign in an effort to give back to the communities we serve,” said Pasciak. “Each day, Gleaners provides nearly 79,000 meals to those in need of proper nutrients and a balanced diet. We look forward to helping them in their mission of ending hunger by collecting food and monetary donations that will make a lasting impact on those in need throughout Michigan.”
