1 Dead In Fiery Detroit Crash; Investigators Suspect Homicide: Police
As troopers investigated the crash, they found a bullet hole in the truck and numerous other shell casings in the area, according to police.

DETROIT — A man was killed in a fiery crash along a Detroit freeway Friday in what police are calling a homicide, according to Michigan State Police.
Troopers said a 49-year-old Detroit man was driving a truck south on the Southfield Freeway near Plymouth Road at 11:45 p.m. when he lost control of the truck.
Witnesses told troopers the truck first struck a vehicle on the freeway, and then ran up the right embankment and slammed into a concrete wall, according to police.

The truck then "rolled down onto the freeway and caught fire," according to police.
The 49-year-old Detroit man was ejected from the truck and killed in the crash, according to police.

The driver of the second vehicle involved in the crash was taken to a nearby hospital with non life-threatening-injuries, according to police.
As troopers investigated the crash, they found a bullet hole in the truck and numerous other shell casings in the area, according to police.
Troopers did not say whether the man had any gunshot wounds, nor did they provide his exact cause of death.
Police did not release a description of a suspected shooter or shooters, or a suspected vehicle.
No further information was released by police.
"While many witnesses concentrated on the crash, we now know from the on-scene investigation that this was a homicide," Michigan State Police First Lt. Mike Shaw said.
