The Redford Union School District today announced its Virtual Learning Program’s first graduating class. The five 2019 graduates are: Zarriyah Washington-Williams; Cameron Allen; Sierra Hoskins; Cateria Fields and Alexis H.

“Virtual learning helped me because it allowed it me to work at my own pace and time. I was able to learn to the material better and progress faster and I could concentrate and work more thoroughly. My plans for the future is to take a couple colleges courses before I make a decision to go into the military,” states 2019 graduate Zarriyah Washington-Williams
Cameron Allen shares that the program “Helped me because I wasn’t really going in the right path because I was getting into trouble. I came here because I really couldn’t focus in a normal school because of the stuff that was going on. It helped me get on track and get through quicker. I want to go to Michigan State University in the future.”
According to graduate, Sierra Hoskins; “The Virtual Learning Program was very simple and easy to catch on fast. It wasn’t hard for me. My plans for the future is to go to Schoolcraft College. I want to be a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.
“The Virtual Learning Program helped me to graduate and actually made sure I understood the work before passing me. I plan on going to college to become a Veterinarian,” shares 2019 graduate, Cateria Fields

Redford Union’s Virtual Learning program is open exclusively to Wayne County Residents. The program offers a robust online curriculum for Middle School grades 6-8 and High School grades 9-12. A Redford Union diploma is awarded upon high school graduation from the program.
