DETROIT — A tornado warning has been issued for parts of Wayne County as storms move through the area, according to the National Weather Service.
The storm was spotted in the Romulus area and was moving toward Taylor, Dearborn and Detroit.
Forecasters warned of flying debris and damage to roofs, windows and vehicles. Tree damage is also likely, they added.
The warning is in effect until 3 p.m. Tuesday.
Storms are expected to move through the area throughout Tuesday. More severe storms are expected Wednesday and Thursday as dangerous heat and humidity move into the area.
