"After three wonderful years, we've made the difficult decision to close our Midtown shop," reads a statement on Instagram. "While this isn't the news we hoped to share, we're incredibly grateful for every customer who walked through our doors, shared a conversation, grabbed a coffee and made us part of their routine. It has been a privilege to serve the Midtown community and be a small part of so many people's days."

The Red Hook has other Detroit locations at 8025 Agnes and 2761 E. Jefferson, and one in Ferndale at 220 W. Nine Mile.
