
Free Community Event Promotes Men’s Health and Family Wellness
Join 100 Black Men of Greater Detroit, in partnership with Central City Health, for the 16th annual MAN UP! For Better Health Fair on Saturday, Aug. 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Developing K.I.D.S., 24230 W. McNichols Rd. in Detroit.
The free community event encourages men and their families to prioritize their health through free screenings, wellness education, fitness activities and family-friendly entertainment. Guests also can participate in a neighborhood run, walk and ride while connecting with local healthcare providers and community organizations.
Free health screenings include blood pressure, glucose, PSA, hypertension, body mass index, body fat analysis and colon health awareness. Complimentary food also will be provided.
The event is presented by 100 Black Men of Greater Detroit and sponsored by Central City Health.
