Cedar Point Opening Another Record-Breaking Coaster In 2025
The new coaster will be the tallest, fastest and longest 'tilt' roller coaster in North America, according to park officials.

SANDUSKY, OH — Cedar Point is planning to open another record-breaking coaster in 2025, according to park officials.
The amusement park is planning to open "Siren’s Curse,"which they say will be the tallest, fastest and longest 'tilt' roller coaster in North America.
The new ride will take riders up 160-feet on an old Lake Erie shipping crane tower with sounds that will grow more sinister as riders reach the top, according to park officials.

The platform will then come to a dead stop on a "broken off" section of track, tilt 90 degrees, forcing riders to look straight down on the drop, according to park officials.
Riders will then "plunge into the abyss," speeding through 2,966 feet of track at a top speed of 58 miles per hour, according to park officials.

The new ride will also feature 13 weightless airtime moments, two 360-degree, zero-gravity barrel rolls and a high-speed "triple-down" element with twisted and overbanked track, according to park officials.
The coaster trains, that will hold 24 passengers, will have integrated audio and LED lighting, according to park officials.
"The entire ride is an experience filled with non-stop action, but that first precarious tilted position where you’re hanging on – looking straight down – and waiting for the track to connect will be a signature moment our fans will love. It’s a first-of-its kind for Cedar Point and we’re thrilled to bring it to our guests," Vice President and General Manager of Cedar Point Carrie Boldman said.
The new coaster, inspired by the legend of mysterious creatures in Lake Erie and the sirens luring sailors to their capsizing, will be located across from the Iron Dragon suspended coaster near Cedar Point's marina.
Cedar Point is not promising the new coaster will be ready by opening day 2025, only noting that it will open sometime in 2025.
Cedar Point opened Top Thrill 2, which is said to be the world's tallest and fastest triple-launch strata roller coaster earlier this year. But the coaster was quickly shut down due to mechanical issues and hasn't reopened since.
