Chris Rock Adds Second Detroit Show, As Ticket Demand Skyrockets
Ticket demand for the comedian's shows around the country dramatically rose following the incident at The Oscars.

DETROIT — Comedian Chris Rock added a second Detroit show to his 2022 tour due to an overwhelming demand for tickets. Rock will perform two shows at the Fox Theatre, Friday, Sept. 16 and Saturday, Sept. 17 at 8 p.m. Tickets for the Sept. 17 show go on sale Friday, April 1 at 10 a.m.
The superstar comedian added the show as tickets for his shows around the country have skyrocketed on the secondary market, following The Oscars, where Rock was slapped on stage by Actor Will Smith after making a joke about Smith's wife.
While Rock has remained relatively silent since the incident, he kicks off his Ego Death Tour Wednesday night in Boston, where tickets were listed as high as $1,200. Even seats farthest from the stage were going for over $700.
