  1. Detroit council postpones vote on $8.5M expanded gunfire detection effort. The council committee was set to vote on a proposed $7.5 million expansion of the ShotSpotter system along with a $1.5 million renewal of the existing system software. (Detroit News)
  2. Detroit's police oversight board to review report detailing systemic corruption among narcotics officers. The move comes after the 210-page report, which details the conclusions of DPD's two-year Operation Clean Sweep investigation of the Major Violators Unit, was revealed by WDET. (WDET)
  3. Two people were arrested after an 11-year-old girl was shot to death in a Detroit home Saturday night, police said. The child was attending a sleepover at a home in the 20200 block of Goulburn when someone fired numerous shots into the house at 10:15 p.m., fatally striking the child, who was sleeping, police said.
