Detroit Proposals R, E, S Live Election Results: 2021
Proposal E would decriminalize the personal possession and therapeutic use of Entheogenic Plants.
DETROIT — Voters approved Proposal R, which will allow Detroit City Council to create a reparations task force “to make recommendations for housing and economic development programs that address historical discrimination against the Black community in Detroit,” WDIV reports.
Voters also approved Proposal E, which decriminalizes the personal possession and therapeutic use of Entheogenic Plants, WDIV reports.
However, voters turned down Proposal S, which sought to change a section of the city’s governing document that would give citizens more power over city spending, the Detroit Free Press reported.
