Duggan reportedly won re-election to a third-term, while Hammoud was reportedly elected to become Dearborn's first Arab-American mayor.

DETROIT — Several high-profile races were on the ballot Tuesday in the Detroit metro area, including elections for mayor, city council and proposals.
Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan reportedly won re-election to a third-term after defeating Anthony Adams in a landslide, while State Rep. Abdullah Hammoud was reportedly elected to become Dearborn's first Arab-American mayor.
In Royal Oak, Mayor Michael C. Fournier was also reputedly re-elected after defeating Tom Roth for mayor of the city, in a battle mired in controversy surrounding the city's decision to move the Royal Oak War Memorial.

Detroit City Clerk Janice Winfrey was likely to win her fifth-term as city clerk and well-known Detroit journalist M.L. Elrick was trailing Latisha Johnson for a seat on Detroit's city council.
It also appeared likely that Detroit voters decriminalized psychedelic mushrooms and Royal Oak voters decided against the ordinance to move the city's Veterans War Memorial back to its original location.

Republican Douglas C. Wozniak was leading Democrat Martin Robert Genter for Michigan's eight senate district seat in Tuesday's election.
Oakland County saw a 22.2% turnout with 153,181 ballots cast in Tuesday's elections. Wayne county reported a 21.7% turnout in Tuesday's elections.
