DETROIT — The 66th annual Ford Fireworks will dazzle over Detroit's riverfront Monday.

The event, which is produced by the Parade Company, is scheduled for 10 p.m. Monday, June 24, and is free and open to the public.

Many places, including bars and restaurants, in downtown Detroit offer rooftop viewing parties to watch the fireworks. Other great places to watch the fireworks include Belle Isle and Hart Plaza, where they will be a DJ and food trucks.

If you prefer to stay at home, you can watch the fireworks on WDIV-Local 4, who will be broadcasting the event live.

"The Ford Fireworks inspires awe and excitement for families in Detroit with a spectacular fireworks display lighting up a truly iconic American skyline," said Tony Michaels, president and CEO of the Parade Company.

Detroit's riverfront fireworks show was also ranked among the best firework shows in the nation, according to USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards 2024.

"The Ford Fireworks show in Detroit is so big that it takes not one, not two, but a total three barges to hold the pyrotechnics. In addition to the colorful display exploding above the Detroit River, spectators can enjoy live music and plenty of food and drinks," the outlet said of the Ford Fireworks show.
