Detroit Riverfront Showcases Halloween Fun With Harvest Fest

The Detroit Harvest Fest will feature over 50 food trucks, live music and several Halloween activities.

DETROIT — The Detroit Riverfront will host a harvestfest and food truck rally along the Dequindre Cut Greenway on Saturday, Oct. 9 and Sunday, Oct. 10 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The event will feature over 50 food trucks, live music and several Halloween activities.

The harvest fest activities will include twelve trick-or-treating stations and a free pumpkin patch located just inside the Gratiot Entrance on the Dequindre Cut. In addition, a separate children's stage will feature fun and interactive programming by the Michigan Science Center, Nat Spinz and Midwest School Shows.

For adults, there will be an adult costume contest in the beer and wine garden at the Dequindre Freight Yard.

All the activities will be accompanied with six music stages spread throughout the Dequindre Cut. The live music will feature local artists performing songs from several different genres, including soul, funk, R&B and rock.

Admission to the event is $5 per person. Children 17 years of age and under are admitted free.
