- Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan defended his stance and said he did not knowingly reveal a confidential FBI informant and alert a target of an ongoing investigation of bribery involving towing contractors in the city. (Detroit News)
- Detroit police to begin massive search of landfill to find remains of 17-year-old Zion Foster. She went missing on Jan. 4. and her cousin, Jaylin Brazier, was the last person to see her alive. She was sentenced to prison in March for lying to authorities about his involvement in Foster's disappearance. (WDIV ClickOnDetroit)
- A Ypsilanti driver was arrested after police said he struck two young girls Monday night on Belle Isle and drove away. Both girls, ages 12 and 14, were taken to a nearby hospital and listed in critical condition as of Tuesday morning, officials said. (Detroit Patch)
