Eminem, MC5 Headline 2022 Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Nominees
If the two Detroit natives get inducted, they will become the 20th and 21st acts from Detroit to be enshrined in the hall of fame.

CLEVELAND — Legendary Detroit rapper Eminem was announced Wednesday as one of 17 nominees for the 2022 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The hip-hop superstar was nominated in his first year of eligibly, which comes 25 years after the release of his debut album, "Infinite." He would go on to become the best-selling U.S. artist in the first decade of the 2000s.
Detroit rock and roll group MC5 was also nominated to the hall of fame for the sixth time. The radical 60s band formed in Detroit has been one of the more notable rock & roll hall of fame snubs. Many consider the band as playing in innovative part in the punk rock movement in America.

Votes can also be cast at the museum in Cleveland. The top five fan vote recipients will get a single vote toward induction.
