METRO DETROIT, MI — Temperatures won’t recover much Monday after a predicted overnight low of 1 degree below zero. Even when they do, it’s going to feel much colder than it is as Metro Detroit settles into the deep freeze, according to the National Weather Service.
Chances for snow move into the forecast by mid-week and could return Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 12, but wind chill values as low as 10 degrees below zero; light southwest wind increasing to 6 to 11 mph. Monday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 6, but wind hill values as low as -9; south-southwest wind around 11 mph.
Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 12, but wind chill values as low as -8; south-southwest wind 10 to 15 mph. Tuesday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 20; southwest wind 7 to 14 mph.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, with a high around 31. Wednesday night: A 30 percent chance of snow after 8 p.m.; cloudy with a low around 26.
