Grand Hotel’s Main Dining Room features a wine cellar with 400 selections from around the world, with strengths in wines from California, Bordeaux, Italy and Michigan. The restaurant began serving Michigan wines in 2010 and it was so popular among restaurant guests that the hotel now offers a selection of two-dozen wines from Michigan. Overseeing the wine operations at Salle á Manger is Elizabeth Schweitzer, who became only the eighth woman in the world to earn the prestigious title of Master Sommelier. Schweitzer educates guests on the best wine types for every budget and taste, as well as offering food pairings to enjoy while dining at Salle á Manger.
