Lions Trade For WR Benson
Trinity Benson spent the last two seasons on the Broncos practice squad, but had an impressive preseason.

DETROIT—The Detroit Lions on Monday added wide receiver Trinity Benson in a trade with the Denver Broncos, according to the Detroit Free Press.
The Lions also acquired a sixth-round pick in 2023, in exchange for fifth and seventh round draft picks in 2022, the Free Press said.
The move came on the same day the Lions decided to release presumptive starting wide receiver Breshad Perriman, after a disappointing preseason.

On the other hand, Benson has had an impressive preseason with eight catches for 80 yards and two touchdowns.
Although the Lions gave up two drafts for Benson, they are expected to gain at least three compensatory draft choices for the loss of free agents Kenny Golladay, Jarrad Davis and Marvin Jones, the Free Press said.
