Metro Detroit Weather for the First Week of 2017: Rainy, Snowy and Cooler
Daytime temperatures will see a more than 20 degree swing. The first full weekend of the year looks to be cold and dry.

METRO DETROIT, MI — The work week begins Tuesday for moth of us, and it will be a soggy start in Metro Detroit. Rain chances are near 60 percent, mainly before noon, and a quarter of inch of rain is possible. There's good news: The temperatures will remain well above freezing, with a high near 44.

Tuesday night: A 30 percent chance of rain, mixing with snow after midnight, then gradually ending. Cloudy, with a low around 27; west-northwest wind 8 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Wednesday: A 30 percent chance of snow after 1 p.m.; mostly cloudy, with a high near 30; west wind around 16 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Wednesday night: A 40 percent chance of snow; mostly cloudy, with a low around 17; west wind around 14 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.
Thursday: Cloudy, with a high near 22. Thursday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 13.
