New Year’s Weekend Weather Forecast in Metro Detroit
As say goodbye to 2016 and hello to 2017, you won't have to deal with messy weather. New Year's Day looks to be perfect.

METRO DETROIT, MI — It looks like New Year’s Eve revelers won’t have to contend with messy weather when they’re out on the town to celebrate the arrival of 2017. If you’ve got the day off on Monday, you may have to contend with rain, though.
Snow showers are possible before noon Friday in Metro Detroit. It will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 31, and a blustery west-northwest wind at 14 to 18 mph and gusts as high as 28 mph. The precipitation chances are 30 percent.
Overnight Friday, expect mostly cloudy skies with a low around 26, with a west wind 7 to 10 mph becoming south after midnight.

Saturday, New Year’s Eve: Cloudy, with a high near 40 and south-southwest wind 14 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 34 mph. Saturday night: Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 26 and wt wind 6 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph.

Sunday, New Year’s Day: Sunny, with a high near 36 and south wind around 7 mph. Sunday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 30.
Monday: A 50 percent chance of rain after 1 p.m., cloudy with a high near 44. Monday night: Rain likely, cloudy and a low around 40.
