DTE said last Thursday that 95 percent of its customers would have power by Sunday night, and the company reported that 98.19 percent of its customers did have power Monday morning.

However, DTE said it still had 3,065 crews in the field Monday trying to complete the job.

"While most outages caused by last week's storms have been resolved, we're still deploying 3,000 workers in 16-hour shifts throughout our communities to safely restore power as quickly as possible."

PowerOutage.us also reported that Consumers Energy, the state's No. 2 power supplier, with customers in Southern Michigan and Mid-Michigan, still had 26,980 of its 1.8 million customers without power on Monday morning.

According to the National Weather Service, the forecast for the Detroit area on Monday called for a high of 78 degrees and showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2 p.m.
