Snow Totals From Tuesday's Storm In Southeastern MI: NWS

Some areas in southeastern Michigan saw more than 5 inches of fresh snow by noon, according to the National Weather Service.

SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN — A clipper system moved through southeastern Michigan Tuesday and brought heavy snow that made things messy for drivers across the region.

Snowfall quickly accumulated across the region with some areas seeing more than 1 inch of fresh snow per hour, according to the National Weather Service.

The heavy snowfall should wrap up sometime during the afternoon hours, and any lingering snow showers should shift to light rain showers as temperatures in the region warm up into the mid 30s, according to the National Weather Service.
