A Semi truck crashed and went over a median wall Wednesday morning in Detroit, according to the Michigan State Police.

DETROIT — A Semi truck crashed and went over a median wall Wednesday morning in Detroit, according to Michigan State Police.
Both directions of Interstate 94 near Mt. Elliott Street on Detroit's east side are closed due to the crash.
Police said the tanker was driving too fast in the eastbound lanes when it lost control and hit the median wall, scattering debris all over the freeway.

The tanker's fuel tank was also punctured, spilling fuel onto the freeway, police said. No other hazardous materials were spilled in the crash.
The driver of the tanker was not injured in the crash and refused medical treatment at the scene, police said.

Officials did not release any further details about the crash.
Forecasters warned a Wednesday snowstorm will make traffic in the metro Detroit area difficult. The snow is expected to intensify during the afternoon hours.
