Undercover Cop Shot At In Detroit, No Injuries: Police

Police said there were no injuries and no one has been arrested in connection with the shooting.

DETROIT — An undercover trooper was shot at in Detroit Friday morning, according to Michigan State Police.

Police said the detective was driving on Curt Street near Van Dyke Street at 7:50 a.m. when he was shot at. The trooper and the police cruiser were hit by the gunfire, according to police.

There were no other injuries in the shooting, according to police.

Police were still investigating the shooting and did not immediately release any other details.

The shooting less than a week after a Melvindale police office was gunned down in board daylight. It also comes a month after an Oakland County sheriff's deputy was fatally shot in Detroit while working undercover in June.
