About 20 minutes from Dexter, the Ann Arbor Jaycees Fourth of July Parade brings a classic community celebration to downtown Ann Arbor. Families can expect decorated floats, local groups, music, performers and plenty of red, white and blue along the parade route.

Families with young children can head to Ann Arbor for a Fourth of July-themed craft and play session at Hide and Seek: A Play Boutique. The indoor option offers a festive, low-key way for kids to celebrate the holiday while staying out of the summer heat.
