Baker College names admissions director for Jackson, Coldwater

A Jackson County native and resident will head up admissions for the Jackson and Coldwater campuses.

Baker College of Jackson has promoted Daniel Smith to director of admissions. In this position he is responsible for new student enrollment, marketing efforts and leading the admissions departments at the Jackson and Coldwater campuses.

“Dan is a proven leader and has the experience to help guide students toward the academic goals and achievements that will lead them to successful careers,” said Steve Simpson, Ed.D., Baker College of Jackson president. “We are fortunate that he is taking the helm of our admissions department.”

Smith has served seven years in admissions at Baker College of Jackson, the last two as assistant director. He is a Jackson County native and resident and graduated from Spring Arbor University with a bachelor’s in psychology.
