Being Organized

Despite what you read in the mainstream press and see on television, getting and being organized is a process, not an event.

In 2005 I voluntarily left a corporate career in the auto industry to found Simply Organized Life. The last six years as a professional organizer, or organizing consultant, have been highly fulfilling. It has been wonderful to help clients, seminar attendees and readers on what I like to call our "organizing journey."

Despite what you read in the mainstream press and see on television, getting and being organized is a process, not an event. Owning "stuff" and having clutter is a part of living, even for professional organizers.

Getting and being organized is a lot like pulling the layers of an onion back. It takes a little bit of work and there is always another layer to tackle, but the reward of an organized space is amazing.
