Premium Graeter's Ice Cream Can Be Found in Dexter

Graeter's fantastic ice cream is in Dexter, sort of.

Greater's ice cream is a tremendous Cincinnati old line premium ($5 a pint) brand not available locally until few weeks ago, and is sort of or almost available  at .

Graeter's has been making ice cream using the French pot method (ice cream made by hand in a large bowl placed inside a tub filled with ice and salt) since 1870. The ice cream is rich, smooth and delicious with a butter fat content of close to 16 percent.

Graeter's uses premium ingredients including cream, cane sugar and Madagascar vanilla. They offer nine classic flavors and 11 flavors with inclusions (chocolate chips, nuts, etc).

Here's the rub if you like chocolate chips, Busch's is carrying six flavors. If you're not a chocolate chip fan and want something traditional such as vanilla, chocolate or caramel, you still have to drive to Ohio to get it. I would prefer to buy it locally without chocolate chips. Perhap's purchasing at Busch's just checked the wrong box on the order form.
