Public hearing planned for Dexter's cityhood petition

A public hearing on the village’s cityhood petition is planned for 4 p.m. Jan. 17 at the . At the public hearing, the village will propose that the permanent boundary be the new proposed boundary that is acceptable to Webster Township and the Dexter Area Historical Society. A copy of the boundary map and more information on the process can be viewed online.

Office closing

Village offices will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday on Nov. 24-25.

Trash pick-Up delay

Trash pick-up will be delayed until Saturday the week of Nov. 21.

Winter Festival

The is sponsoring a winter festival from 1-7 p.m. Nov. 26. The event will end with the annual tree lighting in Monument Park.

Holiday Hustle road closure

On Dec. 3, Central Street will be closed from Main to 5th from noon to 7 p.m. for the Home for the Holiday Hustle event. During the hours of the race several streets will be closed as the race passes by between 4-5:30 p.m. More information for the event can be found at http://www.dexterholiday.com/.

Utility bills

Village utility bills for September and October were mailed on Nov. 15 and are due Dec. 15.
