Dexter 10-U Little League Team Makes 'Great 8' Great 8" in State Tournament

The District 3 Dexter Maroon 10-U champion all-star team made it to the state little league tournament this week, finishing in the "Great 8" 10-U teams in the state.

They won their round robin pool play going 2 for 3, and earned the No. 1 seed in their bracket for the Great 8. The Dexter Maroon mercied Redford 17-0 and defeated Ira Township, 8-3. They lost a close match to Tecumseh in their first game, 8-7, in extra innings.

To qualify, the Dexter Maroon 10-U All Stars won the District 3 Little League Championship with a 4-3 victory over Jackson Southwest-Red. The Dexter team defeated Ypsilanti American, Jackson Northwest and Ypsilanti National Blue to reach the district championship game.
