Elizabeth Adams, Director of the Housing Bureau for Seniors, will be at the Dexter Senior Center on Monday, May 7th discussing the five different Housing Bureau programs that work to keep seniors in appropriate and affordable living arrangements. She will also be answering any questions community members may have regarding Senior Living Week, the only annual event that brings together the people who provide senior resources, services and products with those that need them.
“This will be a great opportunity to learn about services for older adults in your community to assist you, your aging parents or customers with housing needs,” says Elizabeth Adams, Director of the Housing Bureau for Seniors. “We encourage anyone who is looking for information in the Dexter area to join us at the Dexter Senior Center on May 7th.”

The Housing Bureau for Seniors staff and volunteers work to improve housing and related issues, link seniors and caregivers to needed community-based services and help prevent evictions and homelessness through five core programs: Elderly Eviction Prevention, Foreclosure Prevention, HomeShare, Housing Counseling Program and Education Outreach.

The Housing Bureau for Seniors works throughout Washtenaw County to enable and assist older adults with seeking and maintaining appropriate and affordable living arrangements. Since 1983, the Housing Bureau for Seniors has helped more than 13,000 older adults and their families throughout Washtenaw County. The Housing Bureau for Seniors is a community supported program of the University of Michigan Health System.
