Gas Prices Take Big Jump in Michigan: Find Lowest Prices in Your Area

Gas prices increased nearly 25 cents over the past week, AAA Michigan said in its weekly fuel gauge survey.

The average price Monday for a gallon of regular unleaded fuel was $2.51, compared with $2.27 this time last week.

In the metro Detroit area, the average-per-gallon price was about $2.47.

Nationally, the average was $2.42 per gallon, unchanged for the past week.
