No Annexation Without Representation group forms advocating for a vote by the community.
Dexter citizens have formed a grassroots group in response to the possible Whitmore Lake Schools annexation.
Residents of the Dexter Community School District have formed the grass roots group, No Annexation Without Representation.
The group was formed in response to the Dexter School Board of Education (DCS BOE) formation of a subcommittee to evaluate the possible annexation of the Whitmore Lake School District with Dexter. The school board formed the subcommittee without any input from the community. The annexation will happen when at least 4 of the 7 trustees vote yes; regardless of what the community wants.
The grass roots action group believes that annexation should be your vote, not a board vote.
