Pickup Truck Strikes Fireworks Stand on Baker Road in Dexter

The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office is investigating the cause of an accident near gas station on Baker Road July 4.

According to Sgt. Keith Flores, at approximately 8 p.m., a male suspect driving a Chevrolet pickup truck struck a fireworks stand on the gas station property.

"It appears that the truck was unoccupied at the time of the crash. The alleged driver exited the truck with the vehicle in neutral. The vehicle rolled and hit the stand," Flores said.

He said no witnesses observed the driver operating the vehicle, and no charges have been filed.
