·         Concerned that the county commissioners are pursuing approving selling $345 million dollars of interest bearing bonds without taxpayer approval?

·         Concerned that the proposal is predicated on financial investment assumptions that do not guarantee that the proposal will cover the $250 million dollars in interest payments and fees?

·         Concerned that we are currently unable to meet the financial obligations of funding the county retirement plan whose benefits and costs exceeded prior actuarial (the experts) estimates?

·         Want to get involved or get more information on this issue?

·         Concerned that the county administrators plan would NOT pay the full repayment amount annually for the first several years.

A group of concerned citizens, just like you, will be at the Ann Arbor Art Fair Wednesday, July 17th thru Saturday, July 20th.

Stop by the booth hosted by your fellow citizens (near Division and Liberty) to:

1.      Get more information about one of the most important financial decisions our county is facing for the 21sth century.

2.      Get more information on how to sign up and volunteer to help get the necessary petition signatures (just 15,000) that will be required to put this proposal on the ballot to be approved by the taxpayer (YOU) instead of the current plan of the Board of Commissioners to approve it themselves.

If you really want to get even more informed and involved, please consider signing up to help man the booth sometime during the Ann Arbor Art Fair itself.  You can contact Doug Smith, Washtenaw Watchdogs at douglas2k@comcast.net for more information.

Additional information on this critical issue can be obtained at www.washtenawwatchdogs.com
