Dexter Library Friends Announce June and Dexter Daze Used Book Sales

District Library Used Book Sale

During this sale, there
will be a selection of various priced gift books for dads and grads, as well as
many golf and gardening titles. This is an addition to hundreds of books for
children through adults with most prices ranging from 25 cents to $2.00.

 

All of the books for sale
come from generous donations from the community. If you’re doing some spring
cleaning right now, be sure to bring your unwanted used books to the library’s
circulation desk. The library staff will be happy to give you a charitable contribution
donation slip to be used for tax purposes.

 

In addition, the Friends
are also requesting donations of clean bags, paper or plastic, and sturdy boxes
such as moving boxes and cartons.

 

As the Friends prepare for the Dexter Daze sale in August
(there will be no sale in July), they would like to announce the sale, for the
first time, will include extra hours. The sale will begin on Friday, August 8,
from 12 noon to 6 pm. On Saturday, August 9, the sale will run from 9 am to 3
pm, followed by a $5.00 fill-a-bag-sale from 3:15 pm until 4:30 pm. During the
Dexter Daze sale, thousands of titles will be available with selections in many
categories, children through adults.

 

Membership
in the Friends is free and applications are available at the library. Please

If
you’d like to attend a Friends meeting, everyone is welcome. The Friends meet
next on June 24, 2014, at 7 pm at the library.
