• It Took At Least 16 Fire Departments and 2 Million Gallons of Water to Put Out Plastics Plant Blaze in Michigan (manufacturing.net) — A major fire at East Jordan Plastics' South Haven factory drew at least 16 fire departments and used about 2 million gallons of water, but caused no reported injuries. The company, which also runs manufacturing operations in East Jordan, is now working with state and federal agencies to assess environmental impacts, manage contaminated runoff water, and determine how the blaze will affect its production.
