ā¢ Delta County voters approve recycling millage (dailypress.net) ā Delta County voters, reporting out of Escanaba, have renewed the recycling, composting and hazardous waste millage for another 10 years, keeping key services at the county landfill and Delta Wide Recycling funded. Homeowners will pay about $29.70 a year per $100,000 taxable value, ensuring continued drop-off options for yard waste, electronics, paint, batteries, and other hazardous materials.

ā¢ Lantagnes celebrate 70th anniversary (dailypress.net) ā A longtime local couple with roots at St. Thomas Parish in Escanaba recently marked their 70th wedding anniversary with more than 100 loved ones at Pioneer Trail Park in Gladstone. Orville and Mary Lou Lantagneās celebration featured live music from Orvilleās band and highlighted their decades of family life, work, and community ties across Delta County and Wisconsin. Ā Ā Ā
ā¢ Beulah Mae Bartoszek (wsjm.com) ā Family and friends are remembering Beulah Mae (Taylor) Bartoszek, who was born in Escanaba and later lived in South Haven, after her peaceful passing at age 90. Loved ones recall her long marriage, large extended family, and final years at River Ridge Senior Community, where she received warm care before a planned private family burial. Ā Ā Ā
