1 Dead, 3 Hurt In I-75 Crash In Oakland County: Police
One person was killed and three others were injured in a Saturday crash on Interstate 75 in Holly, according to Michigan State Police.
HOLLY, MI — One person was killed and three others were injured in a Saturday crash on Interstate 75 in Holly, Michigan State Police said Monday.
Troopers said four people were standing outside their vehicle in a northbound construction zone on the freeway near East Holly Road at 1:15 p.m. after a minor crash.
While the people, now pedestrians, were standing outside their vehicles talking about the minor crash, another car smashed into the crashed cars, which then struck the pedestrians, according to police.

A 24-year-old from Alpena was killed in the crash and another pedestrian suffered a compound fracture and was treated with a tourniquet and taken to a nearby hospital, according to police.
A third pedestrian also suffered minor injuries in the crash, according to police.

The driver who hit the crashed vehicles was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries, according to police.
Troopers said all family members were notified, but did not identify anyone involved in the crash, according to police.
Police were still investigating the second crash and will turn over their findings to the prosecutor's office.
"Please remember to move your vehicles out of travel lanes if possible. If they can’t be moved, stay in your car with your seatbelt fastened. Call 911 and we will help make the area safe and get you off the roadway," First Lt. Mike Shaw said.
