1 Dead In Oakland County House Fire: Police

LATHRUP VILLAGE, MI — One person was killed in a Tuesday night house fire in Lathrup Village, according to police.

Officials found the house on the 18700 block of Lacrosse Avenue near 12 Mile and Southfield roads fully engulfed in flames late Tuesday night, according to police.

Officials found one person dead inside the home after firefighters extinguished the flames, according to police.

There were no other injuries reported by officials in the fire.

Officials do not know what caused the fire and were still investigating.

"This is an ongoing investigation and residents are asked to avoid the area at this time," police in a statement.
