5 Things You Should Know Today - Nov. 8, 2011 Election Day

Farmington and Farmington Hills residents go to the polls today to elect local candidates and decide millage issues.

There's a chance of rain today, but don't let that stop you from getting to the polls if you haven't already voted by absentee ballot. Here's what you should know about today's elections:

1. The weather

There's a 30 percent chance of rain today and tonight, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures are expected to remain mild, with a high of 64 and a low around 51.

2. Polling places

The polls open at 7 a.m. today and close at 8 p.m. You'll find a complete list of polling places, along with maps, on the City of Farmington and City of Farmington Hills websites. Need more help?
