5 Workers, 2 Firefighters Injured in Farmington Hills Blaze

The cause of the fire at the Piedmont Concrete plant remains under investigation.

Five workers and two firefighters were injured Thursday in a fire at a Farmington Hills concrete plant, WDIV-TV reports.

Two of the injured contract workers, who were performing repairs at the Piedmont Concrete plant, are in serious condition, the TV station said. The others are expected to recover.

The cause of the fire at the facility, located on 8 Mile Road west of Middlebelt Road, is under investigation.
