• Master gardener retires after 30 years of service (candgnews.com) — A beloved master gardener, Betti Pool, has retired after more than 30 years caring for the gardens at Farmington's historic Governor Warner Mansion, leaving a legacy city officials praise. Pool, a longtime Farmington Garden Club member and former Farmington Hills Beautification commissioner, is now focusing on creating a low-maintenance garden at her new home while still sharing tips and inspiration with local gardeners.
• Angelina Yonan Crowned Miss Oakland County 2026 (oaklandcounty115.com) — An Oakland County scholarship pageant in Farmington Hills crowned Macomb resident Angelina Yonan as Miss Oakland County 2026, but Farmington's own Sydney Jaworski earned second runner‑up and the People's Choice Award. Several local sponsors, including Farmington Masonic Lodge No. 151, helped fund thousands in scholarships for young women across the county.
