Botsford Hospital's Childbirth Education Schedule for October
Botsford Hospital's childbirth education classes fill up fast, so register as early in your pregnancy as you can.

- Baby Care Basics - a 3-hour class prepares first-time parents, grandparents, or caregivers to take care of a newborn. Learn about bathing, feeding, developmental stages, immunization schedule, identifying illnesses, choosing a pediatrician, medications, childcare options, choosing a babysitter, safety-proofing your home and much more. Tuesday, October 7, 6-9 p.m. This class will run again in December. Cost: $35.
- Childbirth Education Comprehensive Series - prepares you and your partner for your childβs birth. Become an informed participant in the birthing experience and learn about the stages of labor, managing discomfort, relaxation and breathing methods, the partnerβs role in labor and delivery, medications and anesthesia, C-Section and more. This series meets four times in October: 2, 9, 16, and 23. Thursdays, 7-9:30 p.m. This series will run again in November. Cost: $75.00.
- Breastfeeding Class - a comprehensive 3-hour course that helps expectant parents to get breastfeeding off to a good start. Recommended for any woman thinking about nursing her baby. Examine various products and supplies, including electric breast pumps. The class is 6:30-9:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 14. This class will run again in December. Cost: $35.00.
