Includes a one-on-one appointment with a diabetes educator, 8 hours of group classes with comprehensive diabetes management guidance, ongoing contact with the physician to ensure optimal blood glucose control, and follow-up at 6 weeks and again at 6 months. Daytime and evening classes available. Program certified by the Michigan Department of Community Health and nationally recognized by the American Diabetes Association and the American Association of Diabetes Educators.
