About Us
"Tranquil Touch" has offered massage therapy and birth support services since 2004. What sets Exie apart from other providers is how she has combined 2 decades of education and experience as a massage therapist, specializing in Prenatal, Postpartum, and Infant Massage Instruction, with her education and experience supporting over 125 births as a Certified Birth Doula and many more families as a Certified Childbirth Educator.
In 2023, Exie answered the call to become an MDHHS-registered Medicaid Doula through the Michigan Doula Initiative. This initiative aims to improve maternal and infant outcomes by supporting families who cannot afford out-of-pocket doula support.
Using a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive approach to all her interactions, Exie endeavors to positively impact the lives of all her clients. She especially enjoys supporting clients in the OR who have planned cesarean births scheduled at the University of Michigan's Von Voigtlander Women's Hospital or those at other hospitals as their single support person as allowed by those hospitals' policies.
Exie offers private and group classes on childbirth, newborn care, and postpartum healing. Recognizing the gaps in emotional support for pregnant and postpartum parents, she became a Survivor Moms' Companion Tutor and a fully trained member of Postpartum Support International.
You can schedule an appointment for massage therapy, register for a group class, or book an in-person birth support service in a beautiful, comfortable, home-like suite in Downtown Farmington.
Most birth support appointments can also done virtually and can be reserved online.
Private Pay and all SEMI Medicaid Plans are accepted for birth support services.
