Coming Soon: Pay Your Farmington Property Tax Bill on the City's Website
Officials expect to have a credit card option for property tax, utility bill and other payments online by the end of September.

FarmingtonΒ residents will soon be able to put property tax, utility bill and other payments made to the city on plastic.Β
Council members paved the way for the convenience, which comes at a price, with the passage of a resolution during Monday's city council meeting. City treasurer Chris Weber said his department will select a provider in the next few weeks.
"The transaction fees will be paid for by citizens, as a convenience fee," Weber said. The fee will range from 2-3 percent of the transaction amount. He said the fee is clearly differentiated; providers have screens on their websites that notify residents they are paying the fee.Β
