Did Your Child Read to Avoid 'Summer Slide'? Contest Rules

Students should bring their "chains" to Meet and Greet Day at Wood Creek on Aug. 28.

Following are the rules that were outlined in the ”summer slide” packet given to Wood Creek students to keep their reading skills fresh during the summer.

The Rules:

  • Each book must be read by your child.
  • It can be any book that they choose.

For each book read:

  • Cut off a strip of paper included in the packet
  • Write the title of the book
  • Add it to your child s chain

Please fill out a link for the books that you have read this summer, connect them into a chain and bring them to school on Meet and Greet Day, which takes place from 3-4 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28.

The chains will be connected and will be used to decorate the Wood Creek halls.
